2020 Hammers and Hope Spring Gala scheduled for March 21 postponed

With the recent and rapid threat from the Coronavirus we have elected to postpone the Gala to a later date. It is important that we do our part to protect the health and safety of our valued partners.

But we can still have some fun. We are hosting a NO-SHOW GALA!!! Many of you are experienced with the website and the phone app we use for bidding on silent auction items. We are often told our silent auction is the largest they have ever encountered; this year we have eclipsed all past years! We still want everyone to join the fun and have a chance at all of these amazing items! Click here to register and participate in the NO-SHOW GALA >>>>> https://qtego.net/qlink/slvhabitat/

There are many things that are already in motion that we could not stop and vendors who have incurred expenses. One example is catering: While it is not finalized yet, we are working on a solution to have the 400 meals prepared and delivered to local area non-profits that serve the needy.

Thank you for your unwavering support for these many years. We hope to get together soon after this crisis has passed.  Please direct any questions or concerns to Carin Crowe at 801-263-0136 x 8 or email her at .

Our Annual Spring Gala is one of the highlights of the year, getting to spend an evening with our supporters. For many years it has offered a stage to inform our supporters about our state-of-the-art efficient housing which is currently under construction in Kearns, Utah.

We looked forward to showcasing our critical repair program for low income households that will double in size over the next 12 months with over $2m invested. Over 500 Salt Lake County residents are living in safer and healthier homes as a result.

We were excited to announce our capital campaign. Our goal is to raise $7m to build a new ReStore building at 4500 S and Main Street. It will provide long-term sustainable proceeds from store sales that will fund a new Habitat home about every three months. Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity is in the midst of exciting growth that will expand our mission. More people will have affordable housing, more will live in safe and decent homes, and many more will be able to improve their own homes through the purchase of low-cost home improvement items found at the ReStore.
