What we repair:

CHiRP focuses on health, safety, and accessibility.

How CHiRP works:

  • Apply online (takes 10–15 minutes)
  • Eligibility review (income, location, and homeowner status)
  • Home assessment to identify urgent safety issues
  • Repair plan (we handle scope, permits, contractors)
  • Project completion and quality check

How to qualify:

✔ Own a home on a permanent foundation
✔ Live in Salt Lake, Tooele, or Davis County
✔ Meet income guidelines (low-to-moderate-income)
✔ Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident

What it costs:

◾ Grant: Up to $20,000 toward eligible critical repairs.
◾ If needed: A 0% interest, deferred loan for remaining costs—no monthly payment—due only when the home changes ownership.
◾ We will explain options before any work begins.
