AmeriCorps

AmeriCorps is a national service program that provides thousands of Americans of all ages and backgrounds an opportunity to meet critical community needs. At Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity, members play an essential role in transforming the lives of the families and individuals we serve. AmeriCorps members are selected from across the nation to serve one or two years of service. Through the AmeriCorps program members have the opportunity to serve their community, learn new things, make new friends and have fun!

Members serve 10 1/2 month term of service and in exchange for their service receive a monthly living stipend. After completing the program members are awarded a $6,095 Education Award that can be used to pay back eligible student loans or help pay for eligible future education. Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity assists members with paying for housing and offers second-year Habitat members an additional benefit.
